Happy Friday the 13th!

Today is a lucky day for me for a bunch of reasons. Firstly, I just finished a super successful week at Union Sound Company studio in Toronto recording my new album with amazing producer/engineer Chris Stringer. I will be announcing more details about the project soon, but for now I just want you all to know that something exciting is coming! I’ve been on a little bit of a musical hiatus over the last couple years as I haven’t been performing and touring quite as much as usual. However, I sure do miss it and thus, it’s time to get back at it! Can’t wait to share all the new things with you soon. Stay tuned.

Tonight I’m heading off to attend to the opening reception of “365” at Gallery 44, a group photography exhibition in which I have a photograph. Won’t you join me there for a glass of wine? The exhibition presents work that Gallery 44 members have created over the past 365 days. The image I am showing is from a new series I’ve been working on called “The Sun Set” which features digital collages of photos of sunsets taken on my iPhone. It’s all about the fun.

The next few weeks will be busy as I have visitors coming, sporting events to attend and lots of packing to do before I head off to BC for a few weeks in August. My dear friend and Captain Dirt & The Skirt duo partner Lyndell is getting married on Vancouver Island and I’m going to go share the love. It’s  been far too long since I visited all my people out West, so if you are out there… see you soon!

xoxo
