Hola Amigos,

I’ve been super hard at work for the last couple months at Esmeralda Enrique’s Academy of Spanish Dance in Toronto. We’ve been practicing two separate choreographies for our annual Fiesta Flamenca at the Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto. The first is a “Tientos” called Acordándome de Ti which we dance with a mantón, the traditional Spanish shawl. It’s been challenging and so much fun learning to dance with the shawl this year, I have new muscles I never knew existed! The other piece is called “Puerta de Tierra” a Spanish classical song danced with castanets. As always, I am both totally nervous and extremely excited for the show! Maybe I will see you there, this Sunday, June 24th at 3pm.
