Happy last day of winter, my darlings! It seems we have lived to tell the tale once more. And although we might not have spring-like weather quite yet, the flowers are blooming once again in my heart. I’ve been celebrating the day at the coffee shop with a warm beverage and a copy of the Globe and Mail crossword. My dedicated crossword companion and I have gotten pretty good at it lately. However, today we are stuck on #5 down, a 5-letter word for a ski trail… Anyone? I’m really more of a snowshoer myself, I’ve gotta say.

And speaking of snowshoes, there’s no way I would have made it through this winter alive without my trusty pair. Especially on my sojourns up to the little cabin on Lake Huron where I’ve been hiding away writing songs for my new album. As difficult as winter may be at times, it sure is photogenic. I’ve been taking the edge off of the brrrr with some beautiful winter scenes, some of which you will find in my newest Adventures In Sweetland self-portrait series “Wintertide.”

Stay warm out there!
